Andrew Bout
Andrew Bout has worked in the Commodity/Energy space for over 30 years in a diverse set of roles and responsibilities. He was the founder of EnCompass Technologies, a provider of a fully integrated CTRM, which was acquired by Eka Software Solutions in 2013. In the 1990’s he developed one of the early risk systems for the physical and financial power and gas markets in partnership with a large North American trading firm. This partnership was the basis for expanding the product into a full CTRM. In 2010 Andy spearheaded the changes within the system to support crude oil, liquids, and related products as well as the renewable energy modules. He has been involved in numerous implementations for all commodities and his roles have ranged from detailed business process design to project advisory roles. Prior to starting EnCompass, Andy worked for Anderson Consulting as well as an analyst in a large gas and power utility in Alberta.
He has an Honours Business Administration degree (with Distinction) from Wilfrid Laurier and obtained a CMA designation.
Chris Lesperance
Over the last decade Chris Lesperance has held leadership roles in CTRM pre-sales and professional services. Working for Encompass Technologies and Eka Software solutions, Chris’s key focus has been partnering with companies on their business requirements, solution design and project delivery. Spending his time building relationships with companies in the North American, European, and Asian energy markets, Chris has been afforded broad exposure across all energy commodities. He has demonstrated the modelling of the entire physical energy lifecycle from wellhead to end user, as well as risk management and hedging activities.
Prior to joining TruPoint Chris was the Director of Services for North America, where he led a team of consultants delivering both Energy and Ag’s solutions. While in this role, he managed multiple implementations establishing team guidelines and improving project structure. To help his customers achieve their goals, Chris emphasizes a client first philosophy with a focus on communication, long term strategy and team engagement.
Chris is a GARP certified Energy Risk Professional, holds a Project Management Professional designation (PMP) , and obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Finance from the University of Saint Francis Xavier.
Eric Bout
Eric has gained his experience in the energy industry through implementing and designing CTRM software. Prior to joining TruPoint, Eric spent 5 years at Eka Software Solutions specializing in CTRM product implementations. Early on, he was a key member of a large gas and power utility implementation. Eric transitioned to a more senior role and began leading implementations, including projects with crude oil midstream, gas production and power wholesale companies. He was also involved in system functionality design, including re-modelling the CTRM’s methodology for calculating storage WACOG prices, improving the pricing and fuel calculation methodologies for transportation rates, and interfacing with multiple accounting and credit systems. At TruPoint, Eric brings a combination of technical and business knowledge that are essential for utilizing and implementing today's CTRM systems.
Eric has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Victoria.
